Parramatta Marist High School wishes to acknowledge and congratulate Associate Professor Anthony Schembri, who started in the Junior school in 1981 and finished at Westmead after completing his HSC in 1988.
Anthony was recently named in the Queen's Birthday Honours list, for his significant service to medical research and hospital administration, with the Member of the Order of Australia.
Anthony is currently CEO at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney and sits on the Board of Directors for: the Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network; St Vincent's Curran Foundation; Garvan Institute of Medical Research; the National Centre for Clinical Research of Emerging Drugs of Concern and; Co-Chairs the Nursing Research Centre of Australian Catholic University/St Vincent's.
We as a school community are very proud of this remarkable achievement for one of our own and we thank him for his contribution to our community.
